Teacher Training in ‘Animation and Promotion of Reading’ in Chibuto

50 teachers from schools belonging to the ‘Chibuto School Library Network’ trained in areas such as reading, writing, oral narration and dramatisation of stories.


Between 15 and 19 August, a training course on ‘Animation and Promotion of Reading in School Libraries’ will take place in the city of Chibuto, Gaza province, Mozambique, to raise awareness of this issue among 50 Portuguese teachers. The training will be led by trainer Tânia Silva, who will train the 50 Portuguese teachers from schools participating in the ‘School Library Network in the District of Chibuto’ project in areas such as reading, writing, oral narration and dramatisation of stories. The ‘School Library Network in the District of Chibuto’ project is co-financed by the Portuguese Institute for Development Support (IPAD), the School Library Network of the Portuguese Ministry of Education and the ‘Ambassadors of Reading’ Campaign.
