Between February 4 and 10, the start of the 2025 school year was held in the district of Chibuto, in the province of Gaza, Mozambique, although the instability that has been characterizing Mozambican current events.
Created under the project “Educadores em Movimento – Uma Educação Itinerante para a Primeira Infância”, which is in the 2nd phase of implementation, and supported by AIDGLOBAL, the 6 Community Schools received 223 applications from boys and girls, between 3 and 5 years old: 20 children in Chaimite, 34 children in Chiconelane, 23 children in Malehice, 33 children in Maivene, 76 children in Bairro 25 de Junho U2 and 37 children in Bairro 25 de Junho U4.
At the beginning of the activities, it preceded all the preparation work, developed by the Animators/"Educators on the Move", together with the AIDGLOBAL team of the Delegation in Chibuto.
Sessions were also held to plan the playful-pedagogical activities, in order to better prepare and consolidate the learning of the children who attend these Schools. In addition, a whole work of cleaning the school space, both internal and external, was carried out.
To support the continuation of the work developed in the Community Schools, AIDGLOBAL needs monetary support in order to accomplish with the purchase of food, locally, in Chibuto, and be able to serve a daily meal to all the children attending our Community Schools.
