Fourth Community School is inaugurated in the 25 de Junho neighborhood community, in a ceremony that brings together 120 people.

After three Schools inaugurated in the second week of April, the District of Chibuto knows, after Easter, the inauguration of the Community School of the 25 de Junho Neighborhood, which is already attended by 61 children. The morning of April 18th was, for this reason, a reason to celebrate the right to Education.

The ceremony was attended by 120 people, including the Director of the District Service of Education, Youth and Technology (SDEJT), Ernesto Mario Macamo, and the Administrator of the District of Chibuto, Sergio Sional Moiame. In a speech aligned with the concerns about some of the problems that cross the education system in Mozambique, both the Director of the SDEJT and the District Administrator recognized the relevance and impact of the creation of the Community School of Bairro 25 de Junho, namely as a platform to reverse the levels of school failure and to promote greater equality of opportunity for all children, regardless of their social background, the socioeconomic and cultural level of the family into which they were born.

Also the President of AIDGLOBAL, Susana Damasceno, and Professor Antónia Barreto, who spoke at an earlier time, reinforced the path that needs to be taken in the context of the above-mentioned problems, while framing the objectives and responses that this Community School proposes to create to safeguard the right to education of the 87 children already enrolled.

The initiative continued with the delivery of the Bibliotchova, a set of pedagogical resources, and the batinhas to the children who, a few moments later, led the musical moment that gave color to the day. The flavor of the ceremony was left to the community, responsible for preparing the lunch that marked the end of the inauguration.
