SDG Cubes at the Porto Santo City Council

Awareness was raised in about 50 civil servants

Between 6 and 11 October 2020, the Porto Santo City Council hosted an exhibition on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that involved around 55 public officials and political actors in the City.

The exhibition consisted of around 17 cubes, one for each SDG, with facts, images and commitments related to the theme in question. The initiative was made evident in the main building of the City Council and in the Materials Park.

In addition to the information available to all interested parties, several awareness-raising actions were promoted: moments of presentation of the SDGs, implementation of quizzes and delivery of action proposals, inviting participants to commit to the SDGs.

Within the scope of the exhibition, the importance of the manual “Rumo a 2030: os Municípios e os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável” (“Towards 2030: Municipalities and Sustainable Development Goals”) was highlighted.

The copyright for the exhibition was kindly granted by the Instituto Marquês de Valle Flôr.

These actions were developed within the scope of the "Educar para Cooperar – Porto Santo e Madeira" (Educate to Cooperate – Porto Santo and Madeira) project, promoted by AIDGLOBAL and co-financed by Camões — Institute of Cooperation and Language, I.P., with the Municipality of Porto Santo as a partner.
