As part of the European project “(e)mission (im)possible,” AIDGLOBAL and its partners have unveiled two innovative resources designed to transform the way Third Sector and International Cooperation Organizations address Climate Change. These tools provide essential methodologies for calculating and reducing carbon emissions, enabling the development of effective climate strategies to lead Climate Action within the NGO sector.
The
Climate Strategy Toolkit offers a practical solution for organizations establishing a climate strategy. This resource includes the
Climate Strategist’s Handbook, which, along with its annexes, serves as a detailed guide to training Climate Strategists—internal organizational specialists capable of driving the climate transition.
The handbook is structured into chapters that cover various stages, from understanding Climate Change to implementing actions.
The second
resource,
“Implementing a Climate Strategy—A Guide for the Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Sector,” was created as a roadmap to replicate and adapt the training approaches for Climate Action developed during the project.
This publication is designed for professionals and volunteers in the Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid (DC&HA) sectors to acquire new skills in Climate Action.
As the project nears completion, it highlights the critical role of education and training in combating Climate Change, fostering both local and global impact.
The “(e)mission (im)possible” project is a European initiative co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ program. Its goal is to establish an innovative lifelong learning path focused on climate neutrality skills within the Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid sectors.
