"Ecoality: Youth and Local Authorities together for Climate and Gender Justice!" is a European project, funded by the European Commission, which aims to help increase awareness and a sense of co-responsibility among European citizens regarding individual and collective behavior in the face of the interdependence and intersectionality of ecological crises.
It aims to mobilize more young people to commit to global challenges and to strengthen their cooperation with local authorities, in order to raise awareness of the urgency and shared responsibility of taking collective action to support and promote Climate and Gender Justice.
The project is aimed at young people aged between 15 and 18 enrolled in the formal system (at least 100 schools) and young people aged between 15 and 29 in non-formal education contexts, such as voluntary associations, including women's rights and youth associations (at least 75 associations) in 10 European Union (EU) countries - Austria, Croatia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal and Romania -, teachers, school principals working in the formal public education system, employees of local authorities and educational bodies, policy makers in the target countries and communities in general.

Gender often intersects with other categories of vulnerability, such as ethnicity, sexuality, ability, etc. An intersectoral approach between Environment and Gender can outline a path to enable solidarity and intervention beyond social categories. The action will adopt an ecofeminist perspective to facilitate this intersectional approach. Ecoality's ecofeminist perspective promotes:
