“Conectando Mundus” (Connecting Worlds) was an educational proposal implemented through an interactive multilingual platform with 8 languages (Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, English, French, Galician, Catalan and Basque), through which the different classes organized in work teams interacted and worked together in different cooperative ways.
This project brought together activities within the classroom and work in a network composed of students from 6 to 17 years old from various cultural, economic and social backgrounds. Every year a concrete theme related to education for Global Citizenship is worked on. “Climate Crisis – Time to Act” was the name of the new edition dedicated to sustainable development issues.

Area of Action
The project was divided into two phases: from June 15th, 2020 to June 14th, 2021 and from June 15th, 2021 to March 25th, 2022.
Promoted intercultural dialogue between children and young people from different social and geographical backgrounds.
Created a cooperative and effective workspace based on the motto “think globally, act locally” using ICT (Information and Communication Technologies).
Achieving sustainable development means ensuring that everyone has access to the resources they need – food, water, health care and energy – so that their human rights are effective. It also means ensuring that the consumption of natural resources does not cause tension in the vital processes of the terrestrial system.
Being able to live in this safe and fair space for humanity is a complex challenge due to the fact that social and planetary environmental limits are interdependent. Environmental tension can exacerbate poverty and vice versa. For this reason, well-designed policies, new consumption and production habits are needed to achieve sustainable and inclusive development. Read more here.
