With the aim of providing young people with an intercultural learning experience, enabling them to discover a new culture and learn from local projects and experiences, the European project “Ecoality: Youth and Local Authorities Together for Climate and Gender Justice” is organising an International Eco-feminist Camp in Mozambique, which will take place between 22 August and 5 September 2026, aimed at young people aged 18 to 30, students or members of youth associations or those working with young people.
The project aims to mobilise young people to engage with global challenges and strengthen their cooperation with local authorities, in order to raise awareness of the urgency and shared responsibility of taking collective action to support and promote Climate and Gender Justice.
Participants will have the opportunity to understand the environmental and social challenges faced, engaging directly with strategies that promote Climate and Gender Justice. They will also be introduced to projects run by local NGDO’s, in which the role of activism and ecofeminism will be explored. Participants will be able to share inspiring experiences for the development of campaigns and projects in Portugal that have involved young people in promoting equality between women and men and a more sustainable future.
Applications for the International Volunteer Camp will be accepted until 31 May 2026. The Terms and Conditions can be found here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1YC1IpAUutwFv8uS7W9CuQ6ZqjlT52XJd
