The launch of the Formiga Juju Movement in Portugal brought together around 100 people to promote inclusive education in Mozambique.
AIDGLOBAL, in partnership with Formiga Juju and Livros de Ontem, organized the launch of the Formiga Juju Movement on 24 August at 6pm at the Ler Devagar bookshop (LX Factory). The event included a presentation of the movement, a photo exhibition and a debate dedicated to the theme: “Crowdfunding: an exercise in citizenship?”, with the presence of PPL-Crowdfunding Portugal and the Social Entrepreneurship Institute. And one of the most exciting points was the signing of the founding charter of the movement in Portugal, which marked a new stage for Formiga Juju. Through the sale of books and the auctioning of photographs during the event, 1050 euros were generated, which were directly deposited into the “A Formiga Juju e o Sapo Karibu” project hosted at PPL (http://ppl.com.pt/pt/prj/karibu), giving a jump to 74% funding, a great boost towards achieving the goal by the deadline (August 31st). With this initiative, the movement has come very close to achieving its goal. Help us make it happen. Thank you!
