Celeste had in herself all the dreams in the world…

On August 1st, Celeste Rodrigues left us. The unforgettable "Lady of Fado" had the motto of living life to the fullest. She was a family woman, renowned singer, and teacher of traditional Fado. Although she never wanted to be a star, even with the enormous spotlight on Amália, that never stopped her from following her path. Her timid and demure manner was loved and recognised by the public, both at a national and international level, due to her talent for Fado. She performed last month at the age of 95 at the renowned "Casa de Fados".

Celeste Rodrigues was also a supporter and a representative of social causes.

"Fado Happens" is an annual celebratory show created by AIDGLOBAL and also a way of collecting funds for the various social projects that it carries out. Celeste Rodrigues was a permanent representative since the first gala in 2007, giving the best of herself to the audience and making other people happy.

"I arrived at the end, but if someone likes me, a part of me will live on", Celeste Rodrigues sang as part of one of her most popular Fados entitled "Pity Me", which was written by Amália. Celeste Rodrigues had in herself all the dreams in the world, and because of them, she will always be a bright star in the world of Fado.

She will always be just around the corner…
