On February 15, at the Consulate General of Portugal, in Maputo, the ceremony was held to deliver the donations raised at the Solidarity Christmas Party, held annually by the Organizing Committee of Events of the Portuguese Community in Mozambique. The ceremony, which took place in 2023, was attended by the Consul General of Portugal, in Maputo, Dr. Maria Manuel Morais e Silva, other members of the Commission and nine other Non-Governmental Organizations that, like AIDGLOBAL, were present to thank the amounts received.
On behalf of the Board and the entire team of AIDGLOBAL, Mozambican and Portuguese, Jéssica Rosa Sitoe, Project Technician of the Mozambique Delegation, was present to express her deep gratitude for being one of the ten Associations chosen to receive the donation.
The monetary support granted to AIDGLOBAL, in the amount of 100,000 meticais, is intended for the construction of two classrooms at the Chiconelane School, allowing the students who attend it, from the first cycle, to continue their studies in the 7th, 8th and 9th classes, since many are prevented from continuing their studies by having to walk long routes to attend the 3rd cycle. It is for a Quality Education that the Organization moves, being, through this donation, in better conditions to pursue what has guided its ethics and work philosophy, over the
18 years of existence.
During the session, the founder and president of AIDGLOBAL, in order to highlight and praise, once again, the deep commitment and spirit of work that has moved the Organization, stressed that the focus of AIDGLOBAL's performance has always been on the children and young people it has known and for whom it works. They are a source of inspiration, because AIDGLOBAL believes that everyone has the incontestable
right to walk the most fruitful and safe path – that of Education.
The Organization again expresses its immense gratitude for this distinction, its khanimambo
from the heart, extending its thanks to all those who contributed!
To support the continuation of the work developed in the Little Community Schools, AIDGLOBAL launched its latest
Crowdfunding Campaign, with a view to building 3 latrines and 4 kitchens, en bloc. You can make your donation
