The Activism and Community Action Lab invites young people ages 15 to 25 to register for the residential camp in Gradil, Mafra

AIDGLOBAL—Action and Integration for Global Development, the IMVF, and the Clube de Lisboa are organizing, from July 17 to 26, 2026, the Activism and Community Action Lab, a residential camp for young people aged 15 to 25, with the goal of fostering reflection and action around social, climate, and gender justice. Applications are open until June 30, 2026.

Held in Gradil, Mafra, the Laboratory is a space for learning, sharing, and capacity-building, where participants can explore the interconnections between climate justice and gender justice through creative and participatory methodologies. The program includes workshops, lectures, film screenings, the sharing of best practices, and artivism, with the aim of equipping young people with the skills and tools needed to design and implement concrete actions in their communities.

Among the activities already confirmed are workshops on the Climate Crisis and Advocacy, with Mourana Monteiro; The Care Revolution, with Sara Daniel (Poema Instante); Creative Writing and Performance, complemented by a surfing lesson organized by the Somos Maré Association; and My Voice, My Story, My Impact: Storytelling, with Cátia Ramos (Bué Fixe Association). More activities will be announced soon.

Participation in the Lab is completely free, with lodging, transportation, and meals provided for the entire duration of the residential program.
