On the 7th of October of 2025, AIDGLOBAL launched its second call for youth associations and non-profit organizations to submit proposals for projects and initiatives in the municipality of Loures, focusing on climate and gender justice.
The action is part of the project “Ecoality: Young People and Local Authorities Together for Climate and Gender Justice,” led by the Tuscany Region and carried out in consortium with other associations and municipalities from 10 European countries.
Two entities won the competition: ANDA - Almada Não Dorme Associação was one of the winners with the project “CIDADE RAIZ” (ROOT CITY), a name that suggests appropriation of public space, connection between youth, art, and community, with a symbolic touch of growth and belonging; and Bué Fixe - Associação de Jovens won with the project “Vozes da Eco-Justiça Lusófona: Clima, Género e Equidade” (Voices of Lusophone Eco-Justice: Climate, Gender, and Equity). They will receive funding of around €7,500 to implement the project by the 15th May of 2026, in Loures.
In Portugal, Ecoality is promoted by AIDGLOBAL, in partnership with the Municipality of Loures. The central mission of the project is to raise awareness and a sense of shared responsibility for individual and collective behavior in the face of the interdependence and intersectionality of ecological crises.
