By purchasing any of these products, you will be contributing to the sustainability of AIDGLOBAL's actions to promote access to books and combat illiteracy.
Flower brooches, key rings made from leftover capulanas, computer bags, cushions, bedspreads, reversible women's bags, individual kitchen sets and other novelties will be available to the public on May 3 and 4, the day before Mother's Day, at Lisbon Airport. The exhibition is part of ANA Aeroportos' Social Responsibility, which provides a Solidarity Point at Lisbon Airport Departures, in front of the ANA My Way counter, for actions promoted by non-profit organizations and entities. The Solidarity Products, created as part of the “Mãos Solidárias” project, in partnership with various institutions and volunteer hands, are made from capulana and cheetah fabrics from Alcobaça, in pursuit of the idea of bringing Portuguese and Mozambican cultures closer together. By purchasing any of these products, you will be contributing to the sustainability of AIDGLOBAL's actions to promote Education for Development in Portugal and access to books and the fight against illiteracy in Gaza Province, Mozambique, where the Organization supports the strengthening and equipping of municipal and school libraries. “Mãos Solidárias” is the Organization's largest volunteer project to date. It consists of the production of solidarity items, with the particularity that the entire manufacturing and maintenance process is carried out gracefully. The materials used are also donated to AIDGLOBAL. Since 2007, the project has been growing, thanks to the number of people and institutions that have come together around it. Among our main partners are the Centro Educativo de Desenvolvimento D. Maria, Casa Pia de Lisboa, the Escola Profissional da Magestil and the Oficina de Costura Criativa. Don't miss this opportunity and visit our Solidarity Products Exhibition!
