Chimundo Community Center on the Internet

The activities organized by the Community Centre can now be followed on the Internet.

The Chimundo Community Center also now has “a home” on the Internet. Since it was founded in 2004 by Sister Catarina, of the Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Victories, the Center has been a beacon of hope for children, young people and adults in the Chimundo neighborhood in Gaza province, Mozambique.

It was near a cashew tree, serving meals to underprivileged children and storing her cooking utensils in a hut, that Sister Catarina began to think about creating a structure capable of helping the community of the Chimundo neighborhood, to meet the educational, cultural and economic needs of the children and their families in that neighborhood.

After becoming a partner of the Chimundo Community Center in 2008, AIDGLOBAL announced the creation of a website reserved for the Center. Here you can find information about its origins and history, the projects that have been developed, photographs and videos that reveal the importance of the center for the children of Chimundo and how you can help them.
