AIDGLOBAL fighting illiteracy

The team carries out recreational activities with Mozambican kids.

Responding to an invitation made by the Human and Community Development Association (Associação do Desenvolvimento Humano e Comunitário - ADHC), AIDGLOBAL has promoted, at the Chibuto district, Mozambique, moments of Reading Animation with children supported by this Organization.
The team has carried out, until this moment, 5 activity sessions, in which it has explored many stories and children books, in both Portuguese and in Changana, using as resources handcrafts and musical activities to talk about different topics such as colors, animals, plants and body parts. The response and participation have been extremely positive. Some of these sessions have even counted with the participation of the children´s mothers.
The ADHC is a non-profit organization in Mozambique that aims at contributing to the development of a more just society, supporting families in need. It promotes the education and qualification of children, young men and women and adults, by providing them with school assistance and visiting them at home.

AIDGLOBAL has conducted Reading Animation activities at the Chibuto district since 2011, with the purpose of fighting illiteracy and promoting reading habits.
