
On the 18th of April, AIDGLOBAL made the official delivery of “The Soldier's Backpack – from War to Peace” to the Mayor of Arruda dos Vinhos, André Rijo.
The pedagogical resource, produced under the project “Educate to Cooperate: the Historic Route of the Lines of Torres and Global Citizenship”, was delivered in the Middle School of the 1st cycle of Arruda dos Vinhos and can be requested at the Interpretation Center of the Lines of Torres (CILT). It is also available online, here.
“The Soldier's Backpack – from War to Peace” includes several educational proposes that relate subjects of Education for Global Citizenship with situations that occurred during the French Revolution, in the XIX century, complemented with support materials, such as accessories and games. The AIDGLOBAL team also developed some of those pedagogical activities with the elementary school teachers, together with the Arruda dos Vinhos Center for Studies and Research (CEIAV).
The project “Educate to Cooperate: the Historic Route of the Lines of Torres and Global Citizenship” is co-financed by Camões – Institute of Cooperation and Language, I. P., with the support of the Montepio Foundation, in partnership with the Municipalities of Arruda dos Vinhos, Loures, Mafra, Sobral de Monte Agraço, Torres Vedras, Vila Franca de Xira and with the Centro de Formação Loures Oriental.
