The Elementary and Secondary School D. João V, in Damaia, received, on November 20, Rita Lopes, project manager at AIDGLOBAL, for a meeting-reflection on volunteering and active citizenship, directed to 19 students of the 9th year of schooling.
The session began with a small debate on the subject, followed by a presentation on the genesis of AIDGLOBAL, which was born from a volunteer experience held by its founder, Susana Damasceno, in Mozambique. The action was enriched with a personal sharing of Rita Lopes who spoke of her experience as a volunteer in areas related to animals and culture.
AIDGLOBAL went to this educational institution at the invitation of the teacher Sílvia Baio, who became acquainted with the Organization on the Teacher's Open Day, which took place on October 21 at the Tower Lines Interpretation Center of Sobral de Monte Agraço, in the framework of the project "Educate to Cooperate - the Historical Route of the Tower and the Global Citizenship".
