Involvement of teachers and NGOs from all over the country

Three representatives of the B+S School Prof. Dr. Francisco Freitas Branco, Porto Santo, were present at the Meeting of the winning consortia of the Education for Citizenship in School Context project, on October 10 and 11, in Estoril. The objective of the Meeting was to create synergies between the three winning consortia and to present the instrument for measuring competences in citizenship.

How to build a Democratic and Inclusive School was one of the topics under discussion in these working days. The School delegation presented its Action Plan entitled “From School to the World – Act, Include, Transform”, the result of a partnership with the NGOD AIDGLOBAL, also present at the Meeting (learn more here).

This Action at the Porto Santo School results from an application for the Education for Citizenship project, managed by the Gonçalo da Silveira Foundation and the Research Center for Human Development of the Portuguese Catholic University, under the Cidadãos Ativ@s Program (Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and Bissaya Barreto Foundation).

The members of the consortium also participated in the National Meeting of the Rede de Educação para a Cidadania Global, which took place on October 12 at the Escola Superior de Educação de Benfica, in Lisbon.
