AIDGLOBAL is carrying out Learning Programmes, which began in November 2024 and will last until May 2025, in schools in the municipality of Loures.
These initiatives are being hosted by Dr. António Carvalho de Figueiredo Secondary School, Camarate Secondary School, IPTrans - Professional Institute of Transport, Arco-Íris Secondary School and Gaspar Correia Primary School.
The Learning Programmes aim to raise awareness among young people aged between 15 and 18 of topics such as Climate Justice, Gender Equality and Globalisation and Interdependencies, through practical activities involving debate among the students, with the aim of promoting active and participatory global citizenship.
AIDGLOBAL staff supports the sessions, promoting the sharing of knowledge on the project's central themes.
These actions are part of the project ‘Ecoality - Young People and Local Authorities Together for Climate and Gender Justice!’, co-financed by the European Commission and Camões - Instituto da Cooperação e da Língua, I.P., and implemented in Portugal by AIDGLOBAL and the Municipality of Loures.
