Between April 12 and 27, meetings were held between parents of children attending the 5 Community Schools of Chibuto and members of the AIDGLOBAL Team, Organization responsible for promoting and managing the project “Educators in Movement – An Itinerant Education for Early Childhood”, which is in the 2nd phase of implementation, with the objective of discussing and reflecting on issues related to the participation and family support of children, the functioning of activities and the cooperation of the Community.
The sessions were held at the facilities of each of the Community Schools, with the following items as Agenda:
The meetings of the Escolainhas do Bairro 25 de Junho, Chiconelane and Chaimite were promoted by the project coordinator, Susana Damasceno, and at the session of the Community School do Bairro 25 de Junho, 4 of her Animators / “Educators on the Move”, 1 Senior Technician of the District Health, Women and Social Action Service (SDSMAS), 23 Education Officers and 4 members of the Organization Team were present.
At the Chiconelane School Meeting, 4 Animators / “Educators on the Move” and 4 members of the School's Community Management Council, 22 Education Officers and 2 members of the Organization Team attended.
The Chaimite Community School was attended by 2 Animators / “Educators on the Move” and 4 members of the Community Management Council of the School, 3 members of the Local Authorities and Community Representatives, the NGDO Focal Point of the District Government of Chibuto, 19 Education Officers and 3 members of the Organization Team.
The Maivene Community School Meeting was led by the coordinating team and attended by 3 Animators / “Educators on the Move” and 3 members of the Community Management Council of the School, the Head of the Locality, 20 Education Officers and 1 member of the Organization Team.
The Malehice Community School session was attended by 6 members of the Community Management Council of the School, 27 Education Officers and 2 members of the Organization Team.
“Educadores em Movimento - uma Educação Itinerante para a Primeira Infância, Phase 2" has the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation as its main funder, AIDGLOBAL, the project manager, as its promoter, and the Chibuto District Service for Education, Youth and Technology (SDJET) and the District Service for Health, Women and Social Action (SDSMAS) as partners - entities that guarantee the project's links with public policies.
