From August 21 to 25, AIDGLOBAL promoted, at the 1st and 2nd grade Primary School of Bairro 25 de Junho, Unidade 2, Gaza, Mozambique, the second week of training of the Animators and "Educators on the Move" of the 5 Little Community Schools involved in the project “Educadores em Movimento – uma Educação Itinerante para a Primeira Infância - Phase II”.
Under the theme "Training in New Instruments of Little Community Schools", the training was promoted by the Technicians of the District Service of Health, Women and Social Action (SDSMAS), Rodrigues Matusse, Rita Joaquim and Balbina Dlhamine and by Naldo Adelina Muchanga, Technician of the District Service of Education, Youth and Technology (SDEJT), and the members of the AIDGLOBAL team took part in the activities as participants.
Throughout the 5 days of the Meeting, the concept of Little Community School, its purpose and objectives was addressed, and the history of its implementation in various locations in Mozambique was made known, as well as its operation and organization. New work instruments were presented, namely the Guide, Technical Guidance Manual and Activity Manual. They debated, exchanged experiences and agreed on procedures to optimize the monitoring of children. The effectiveness of activity planning and strategy planning was also addressed. The benefits of teamwork and group work were evidenced and its use as a complementary pedagogical tool was encouraged.
The Animators / "Educators on the Move" of the 5 Little Community Schools and the members of the AIDGLOBAL team, Jéssica Sitoe, Project Technician, Ledieta Bombe, Assistant Technician, and Minércia Massuco, Project Assistant were present.
“Educadores em Movimento - uma Educação Itinerante para a Primeira Infância, Phase 2" has the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation as its main funder, AIDGLOBAL, the project manager, as its promoter, and the Chibuto District Service for Education, Youth and Technology (SDJET) and the District Service for Health, Women and Social Action (SDSMAS) as partners - entities that guarantee the project's links with public policies.
